All about the new pension regulations.

New pension rules are coming. The existing rules for our pensions were devised in the last century. As a result, many pensions are no longer in line with the current labour market and society. We are living longer, changing jobs more often, sometimes taking time off work or becoming self-employed. Pensions are therefore becoming more personalised. After years of consultation, the government, employees and employers have now reached new agreements about our pensions. These have been laid down in the Future Pensions Act since 2023. All pension schemes must be adapted to the new rules by 1 January 2028 at the latest.
