The power of togetherness
100% independent
We are het Nederlandse Pensioenfonds. An independent, non-profit foundation. Reliable and committed. No frills. Founded in 2016 to invest in a secure future for collective pensions for employers and their employees. We are an APF. A General Pension Fund. With a committed board and expert staff. We realise the pension that employers have agreed with their employees. We are 100% independent. We choose the parties we work with ourselves. This makes us distinctive, objective and impartial. We make responsible choices in the interests of the participants. With partners who guarantee long-term commitment.
We save time and work together with personal attention. Joining forces with Dutch employers and their funds.
We are solid, agile and personal
Innovative and enterprising. We understand the dynamics and needs of large employers. We reduce costs, take work off your hands, and ensure the necessary legal and financial governance. We save time and work together with personal attention. We join forces with Dutch employers and their funds. This allows us to develop economies of scale, clout and synergy. While everyone retains their identity and influence. That makes us the favourite for company pension funds. To invest for participants in products, sectors and companies of the future. And thus jointly secure pensions in a literally and figuratively responsible and sustainable manner.

What is a General Pension Fund?
A General Pension Fund (APF) is an organisation that administers pensions for various employers. An APF can administer multiple pension schemes simultaneously. These are pension schemes that do not fall under a so-called industry pension fund. An example is the ABP, which administers pensions for many different government departments.
Independent and joint pension schemes
Employers who have us administer their pension scheme can opt for an independent or joint pension circle. We refer to a joint circle as a collective circle. Within that circle, participants show solidarity with each other. They also share risks with each other. For example, in the event of incapacity for work or death. However, there is no solidarity between the schemes. This means that the investments of the various schemes are separate from each other. Investments are therefore only used for pension payments to participants in the relevant scheme.
When will the Dutch Pension Fund start a new cycle?
If employers’ pension schemes differ significantly from one another. Or if we take over the administration of an employer’s pension fund and this fund has or requires specific characteristics.
